Clove

Clove oil is derived from the clove tree known as Syzygium aromaticum which is native to Southeast Asia. Clove oil is produced by distilling the dried flower buds and other parts of the tree, such as the stem and leaves. Clove oil is versatile with a strong, spicy aroma so it features in fragrances and it has antimicrobial capabilities so is used in skin treatments to help kill bacteria.
